Voices and credits

Use /voices to check the current voice; use the /voices voice: option to select a listed Discord choice. This changes the voice of the bot in your voice channel and does not play a sample. Preview the voices on the homepage. The default (standard) voice reads 20,000 characters a day free on every server, reset at 7:00 Vietnam time; past that it costs 1 credit per character. HD voices cost 8 credits per character. Credits are shared by the whole server and expire after 12 months under the terms.

Any member can use commands, including /buy. Channel access, allowed roles, being in the same voice channel and credit limits are still checked. One Voxy serves one voice channel per server at a time. To switch rooms, drag Voxy to another voice channel or use /join in the new one; no /leave needed first.

Commands when you need them

/voices
Check the voice; add the voice option to change it
/myvoice
Pick your own voice for your messages; every Voxy in the server reads you in it

/config
Turn speaker names, join/leave and screen-share announcements and personal voices on or off (on by default, for all 4 bots)
/dashboard
A public stats board for the whole server: who had Voxy read how many characters, in which voices (today, 7 days, 30 days or all time)
/quota
Check the free allowance, credits and trial
/usage
View server usage
/orders
View this server’s recent order summaries
/buy
Create a private credit top-up link

Using several bots in one server

Each server can use up to 4 bots: Voxy plus three helpers, Voxy 2, Voxy 3 and Voxy 4, to read in 4 voice channels at once. Each voice channel has one Voxy.

  1. Type /join in a second channel

When Voxy is already reading in another channel, /join shows a button to add a helper (Add Voxy 2, 3 or 4).

  2. Add the helper to your server

Someone with Manage Server clicks that button, or adds helpers ahead of time with the buttons below. Helpers only ask for View Channel, Connect and Speak.

  3. The helper joins your channel

Once added, the helper joins your voice channel and reads just like Voxy. Commands work as usual; Voxy forwards them to the bot in your channel.

What each bot costs

ItemCost
Adding Voxy 2, 3, 4Free
Reading with the standard (default) voiceFree for 20,000 characters/day, then 1 credit / character
Reading with an HD voice8 credits / character

Each bot is charged by its own voice. The free standard allowance and credits are both shared by the whole server. Example: Voxy on the standard voice reads 100 characters at no cost while the server has free allowance left today (100 credits once it is used up); at the same time Voxy 2 on an HD voice reads 100 characters for 800 credits.

Voice and speed: a new helper uses Voxy’s current voice until you change it. Use /voices and /speed while in the same channel as the bot you want to adjust; each bot keeps its own voice and speed. Role limits (/set roles) are set through Voxy and apply to all 4 bots.

Can’t hear Voxy?

Wait until Voxy is connected, then send a new Vietnamese message in the voice-channel chat where you sent /join. You must be in the same voice channel as the bot and have an allowed role. Check Voxy’s volume and your Discord output device.

With the setup shown above, type in the voice channel’s own chat rather than #general. If Voxy disconnected, it posts a short reminder in the chat (at most once every 2 hours); enter voice again and send /join in that same voice-channel chat. If Voxy was interrupted by maintenance or a restart, it rejoins the room within 30 minutes while someone is still there and says so in the chat.

Ask a manager to check Voxy’s View Channel, Connect and Speak permissions in the current channel. Remove any server mute on the bot and check that you have not deafened yourself in Discord. Administrator permission is not needed.

Use /quota to check today’s remaining free standard-voice characters, shared credits and the one-time 5,000-credit server trial. When the free allowance runs out, wait for 7:00 Vietnam time or see /buy to add credits. Capacity or global budget limits can pause speech even for paid servers; try again later or contact support.

Refresh Discord, check you are in the correct server and can use application commands in the channel. Ask a manager to verify Voxy was installed to the server with bot and applications.commands scopes using this page’s Start for free link.

Each server can use up to 4 bots. See “Using several bots in one server” above to add Voxy 2, 3, 4 and how they are charged.
